Case Study: Worcester College Cathedral Building

The Project

Worcester University contracted us directly to revamp the main entrance to the Cathedral building, the building had recently undergone a complete renovation; however, the old balance style entrance doors (circa 20 years old) had been left in situ.

Our Impact

We were brought on board to remove the internal set of doors, which were no longer operational or commercially viable for repair, the University were open to suggestions in terms of which style of entrance system would be best suited to their needs. We put forward our Horton automatic bi-folding door package as a suggestion, as they are well suited to high-footfall areas and are robust. Bi-folding door packages are also suited where there is a smaller opening, to maximise the available space, and all of our bi-folding door packages come with manual breakout as standard, which allows for a wider clear opening for egress in an emergency, or to maneuver larger items in and out of the building.
