Pictured above is a project within the transport sector for Broadmarsh Bus Station. Entrance doors are high on the list of considerations, to ensure compliance with The Equality Act 2010 and DDA. For instance, in this public transport setting it was vital for all areas of the bus station to be accessible to all users. Therefore meaning that there were to be no entrance or exit doors with restricted access.
We were instructed by MB Glass Supplies Ltd to install our automatic sliding door packages/automation into their curtain walling. We attended site to survey and determine which door applications and safety equipment would be suitable, based on the location of each door, the environment, and the users of the doors.
As a result of this, the products chosen were: 13 paired swing door automations, 15 single swing door automations, 8 single sliding door packages with pocket safety screens, 6 bi-parting sliding door packages with pocket safety screens, one paired swing door package and two manual paired swing door packages.
In conclusion, a fantastic project to be involved in, with teamwork at its core and bespoke products manufactured by us, to ensure the customer’s requirements were met.
