The Project
The Anne Lister College, a project focused on inclusion, creating 1,400 student bedrooms, along with flexible social spaces. Entrance doors are an important consideration when designing or renovating, to ensure compliance with The Equality Act 2010 and DDA requirements. A key focus was ensuring all areas of accommodation and social space be accessible to all, with no restricted access.
Our impact
We were instructed by APiC UK Ltd to install our automatic sliding door packages and automation into their curtain walling. We undertook a site survey to determine which door applications and safety equipment would be suitable. Factors to consider were the location of each door, the environment, and the users of the doors.
The products selected, supplied and installed by us were, 13 paired swing door automations, 15 single swing door automations, 8 single sliding door packages with pocket safety screen, 6 bi-parting sliding door packages with pocket safety screens, one paired swing door package and two manual paired swing door packages.
A fantastic project to be involved in, demonstrating teamwork and bespoke products manufactured by us to suit the customers’ needs.
